In January we welcomed external inspectors to our school to review our Behaviour and Attitudes. We were delighted to receive a glowing report that demonstrates how far we have come since our Ofsted in 2023. Please see below for comments from the inspectors.

‘There is a strong sense of belonging at the school, both students and staff are proud of their School.’

‘A relentless and creative approach to behaviour and attitudes has led to a safe, calm, orderly and positive school environment. School leaders have taken bold measures to transform the school culture, where students attend, engage and learn in a fair and positive culture.’

'Students are complimentary about school life, behaviour and safety. They are confident that they are supported through a range of interventions and the consistent availability of staff including tutors, pastoral mentors and heads of year.'

'The Springwest School Council is seen as a strength by students allowing them to give feedback to the leadership, where the impacts of their views can be seen in areas of the school such as the improved uniform standards. Students speak enthusiastically about the character curriculum and how students are active participants in a strong, positive and ever-evolving behaviour culture.'

'The school felt calm and orderly at all points of the day, including during less structured times, and there were a good number of staff on duty monitoring key areas. There is a positive, happy atmosphere, with students chatting with each other and with staff.'

'Anti-bullying Ambassadors from each year group support the staff team in promoting the positive ethos and culture of the school, and being firm that bullying in any form will not be tolerated.'
