Springwest Academy Baccalaureate

This week we received official accreditation for our Springwest Baccalaureate from the National Baccalaureate Trust. We are very excited to be launching our 'SpringBacc' with Year 8 and Year 10 students this half term.
The National Baccalaureate Trust advocates that students should be recognised for their personal development alongside their academic development. Both our KS3 and KS4 Baccalaureates consist of three parts: Character Development, Achievement and Attitudes and a Personal Project. Teachers and students will be recording students' participation in co-curricular activities, school events, volunteering opportunities, trips and other school activities.
Students who demonstrate their commitment to holistic development, alongside a positive attitude to learning, good punctuality and completion of a successful personal project will receive the SpringBacc at our Celebration of Success Evening. This is a two year programme so the first awards will be given out in summer 2026.
