Year 10 Visit - Future Frontiers
BackThis week, 60 lucky Year 10s had the experience of visiting a top company for their first of four sessions of the Future Frontiers Post 16 coaching programme.
On Tuesday, 20 students visited Worley Engineering in Brentford, another 20 on Wednesday visited Newland Chase Immigration Service in Central London, and a final 20 visited Macmillan Cancer Support in Vauxhall on Thursday.
Each Year 10 student who went was paired up with an employee at the company who is now their coach for the whole experience. They are there to listen to the students and help them think about life after Year 11 by assisting and supporting the students to find out what skills they excel in, what motivates them and what they need to focus on after finishing their GCSEs in Year 11.
Every Year 10 who went enjoyed their experience and really appreciated the support from their coach. They even got a free lunch thrown in which included pizza! They cannot wait to go back next week.
