Food Technician
We have an opportunity for a Food Technician to join our multi academy trust in Feltham, West London, and to work in Springwest Academy which is one of the schools in the Trust. This is a part time, term time only.
The role is to support our Food Technology teacher and lessons. The main responsibilities and tasks are:
- To assist students with all aspects of food preparation and cooking
- To clean kitchen areas and assist students to ensure a timely finish to the end of the lesson
- To prepare materials and equipment for lessons and projects
- To assist with ensuring health and safety practices in the kitchen are met
- To order cleaning supplies and some equipment/food ahead of the lessons
- To wash all clothes tea towels etc to ensure there is a continual supply
- To assist with special events such as open evenings
- To prepare resources for displays and lessons
- To undertake photocopying as required
- To keep and inventory of the store cupboard and ensure the store is in good working order
- To refer stock requirements to the line manager
- Any other appropriate jobs as required by the line manager.
Starting Asap
Hours: 5 days a week – 21.75 hours a week
Part time, term time only – 38.2 weeks a year
Salary: Scale 3 of the NJC support staff pay scale
Starting annual salary: £14,520
