Why Did You Choose To Come To Springwest?
I had heard good things about Springwest and most of my classmates from primary school were going there. My friends' older brothers and sisters said it was a good school. I really liked that there were lots of lunchtime and after school clubs too.
Which Lessons Do You Enjoy The Most And Why?
I like science because we get to use things like bunsen burners and microscopes.
We also get to do lots of things we don't get to do in primary school like send emails and make documents in IT. There is a lot of specialist equipment at Springwest which helps you with learning.
Was It Easy To Settle In And Make New Friends When You Arrived?
Yes it was easy to settle in. Straight away when I arrived other students came up to me and started talking. Students and staff help you to find your lessons until you know where to go. Everyone is friendly at Springwest.
What Extra-curricular Activities Have You Taken Part In?
I am in the school choir. I’m a library monitor and I'm also looking to take part in the piano club.
What Is Your Favourite Thing About Springwest?
I really like the food in the school canteen. I also like that the library is open at break and lunch times because at my old school the library was only open once a week when we came down with our class.
What Advice Would You Give To A Student Who Is Joining Year 7 In September?
I would say that students should respect the teachers and then they won’t get any sanctions. Also don't worry about getting lost because after a week it becomes simple to get around. If you get stuck you can always ask a teacher for help, they’re really kind and they'll help you . Also try to come early for school, they have a free breakfast club.
