Springwest Eco-Committee

In December we established the Springwest Eco-Committee. We know that we can do a great deal to improve the sustainability of our own school, raise awareness of environmental issues and prompt positive action in our local community and our committee members have made a great start to their new roles. This month they are undertaking a comprehensive Environmental Review which is taking them to different parts of the school and to interview different members of our staff to find out more about the areas in which we could be doing better. They've been learning about water and electricity supply, transport, resources, biodiversity, waste and global citizenship and will use the findings of their audit to begin making a real difference to how we do things. It's great to have such committed and passionate young people beginning to make big changes!
