Character Day
BackOn Friday we had our first Character Day this academic year.
Our Character Days give KS3 students opportunities to develop their Moral, Civic, Intellectual and Performance virtues and KS4 students time for Careers Education and revision workshops.
Some highlights from this Character Day included Year 9 working on their Civic Virtues by gardening and organising our Little Village donations and Year 7 learning the Paso Doble to improve their Performance Virtues. Our Year 8 students completed a coding challenge, organised by Spark with staff from Heathrow Airport, for their Intellectual Virtues workshop.
All of our Year 10 students spent the day developing their public speaking skills as part of the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge and Year 11 were given study skills materials and revision tips.
We love providing these co-curricular activities for students and celebrating the wonderful character traits that they demonstrate when faced with new challenges and experiences.
