Character Day
Back
On Friday 12th July, we had our final Character Day of the year. Our Year 10s really impressed us with their politeness and ability to reflect on their skills and attributes during their professional interviews. Our Year 9s demonstrated excellent behaviour, curiosity and ambition on their trips into London and to Wisley Gardens.
At school, our Year 7s and 8s took part in activities to support the development of each virtue group: Performance Virtues, Moral Virtues, Civic Virtues and Intellectual Virtues. Some of the highlights were team building activities, a science workshop from UCL, a workshop with a film director, jumping and flipping on the Acropad and making gratitude cards for families and staff at school.
We gave out over five hundred Character Good News Cards to our students for demonstrating our school virtues such as empathy, gratitude, bravery and creativity. A wonderful day, well done Springwest students.
